IRONHORSE Sign Licensing Deal With ROCK CANDY RECORDS
June 19, 2005IRONHORSE, the band featuring '80s vocal legend Ron Keel (KEEL),have inked a licensing deal with the new British label Rock Candy Records for territories outside the U.S., including Europe and Japan. Plans are underway to release a special edition of the "Bring It On" CD in these territories, featuring new artwork and graphics and bonus tracks that were not on the previous version of the disc. Details and release dates will be announced soon. The band are exploring touring possibilities in these markets for 2006 and hope to bring the IRONHORSE show worldwide next year.
On May 25, IRONHORSE opened up for another one of southern rock's legendary acts, THE OUTLAWS, at PromoWest Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.
The band have previously been on the bill with such icons as ZZ TOP and .38 SPECIAL, but this was even more significant because of the role OUTLAWS/BLACKHAWK vocalist Henry Paul has played in IRONHORSE's recent history — writing and singing "Dixie Highway" on the new IRONHORSE CD "Bring It On". The night climaxed with Henry Paul himself running onto the stage and sharing the microphone for "Dixie Highway".
